The Increment date is July 1st for all Central Government Employees

All employees who got their last increment between 2.1.2005 and 1.1.2006 would get their next increment on 1.7.2006. Those, whose date of increment falls on 1.1.2006, will draw increment in the pre-revised scale of pay on 1.1.2006 and the next increment on 1.7.2006 (as per O.M. dated 13 Sep, 2008).

Before 2006-Jan for those whose increment date were varied, after the implementation of VI CPC the announcement was made that for all, the increment date is July 1st which resulted in benefit to some and as a problem to others.

For some who got their increment between July and Dec 2005, the next increment then got was only on July 2006. That is they received their next increment within seven months, which was most beneficial to them.

For those who got their increment on Jan 2005, the next increment they received was only on July 2006. The span between one increment and the next ranged to 17 months resulting in a grave situation for them.

For receiving an increment instead of waiting for 12 months, we had to sit for 17 months thus resulting in a dire situation. So far there had been no salvation for those who experienced it.

Sum of Increment:-
For receiving one increment equal to 3% of the sum of the pay in the pay band and the existing grade pay will be computed and rounded off to the next multiple of 10. This will be added to the existing pay in the pay band.

Receiving two increments simultaneously:-
Eligible of receiving two increments simultaneously, those whose promotion ranges from January to June, accordingly to FR22(I)(a) (1) option would receive two increments on July 1st. (pay fixation on the date of next increment)

Taking together in to calculation both Promotional Increment and Annual Increment, two increments would be granted (as per O.M. dated 13 Sep, 2008). Even then while calculating of increment only the old Grade Pay in taken into consideration.

Leave on July first:-
If a government servant is on leave on the day of July first, the increased pay will be drawn only from the date on while he resumes duty and not from the first of July.

If anybody absent on 1st July and regularise the leave with CL, then he is eligible to grant increment on 1st july or not?

This is great injustice whose increment was feb to june before 1.1.06 govt. must consider this anomaly, as this is not one time loss but recurring loss every year. Hard hit are those who retire before july.

Getting increment late is a small problem, but u should see the big problem, the person who had earlier 1st jan as increment date got this pay fix on basic pay after getting increment in 1 jan 2006, but others only got pay fix on basic pay of 2005 only, so they got more basic in 6 CPC . this is gross injustice to all other people.

1)On increment month one should be on duty is the rule followed from the past also. It is not a new rule now.
2)As for as increment if you see practically it is very much balanced and all should bear in mind it is not unjustified. For instance I have got increment in JAN & JULY and now I shall be retiring in DECEMBER, Then no loss or gain in it.

Revised Pay + Grade Pay = Total Pay x 3%
for example Rs. 450.90
which amount to add with revised pay Rs. 460 or Rs. 450

as per clarification Rs. 450.

in case of 451 then 460

0.90 paise is appr. 1 rupee can anybody clear the lost of Rs. 10 for only 0.10 paise is justified.

This is a great injustice to those whose increment falls between feb to June. This item should be considered in anamally and those effected person must be given a additional increment as a one time solution.

I have been on maternity leave from 15th July 2009 and joined back on March 2010. Am I eligible to get the increment? In past people on maternity leave were given increment.
Anyone aware with the rule please clarify.
Thanks

My offitial date of birth is 1st July. So, i will retire on 30th June at the age of 60.

After working 365 days, i will retire without increment in fixing pension.

I think this is not correct. In this modern ea, with computer knowledge, increment can be on monthly basis at 0.25 % instead of 3% after one year, namely Jyly.

I had been given step up on 20 jan 2006(because of new appointed juniors on that date). The last annual increment was on august 2005, and the next increment was fixed on july 2007. can anybody tell me why on july 2006 there was no increment ?
we had been on the revised pay structure from 1st jan 2006.

I joined on 12th jan 2010..but because of this bad rule will be eligible for increment only on july 1 2011...ie a wait of almost 18 months to get a 3% increment...
Really bad situation..anyone can give idea where can i represent my case..i believe there are many people in my category..
the person joining just 10 days before become seniors in pay and this 3% gets compounded every year...very very disgusting situation

There may be many like me retiring on 30th June. In such cases in spite of the fact that we complete, we will retire without the benefit of annual increment. I will be thankful, if someone guide me as to how and to whom we have to appeal for the sanction of increment. I am told that there is some judicial pronouncement providing relief in such cases.
