DoP&T vide their letter no. 31011/2/2006-Estt(A) dated 11.03.2010 has clarified that restriction of travel by Air India only need not apply to non-entitled officers who travel by air and claim LTC reimbursement by entitled class of rail. This order has not been taken into account while issuing above guidelines. Is this not applicable now?.

I am a Central Govt. employee working in Delhi. I bought my Air tickets from an Indian Airlines approved IATA agent under LTC-80 scheme to visit Mumbai on 3.10.2010. In view of FM’s Order dated 16.9.2010, am I required to get my tickets cancel or go ahead. If I do not get my tickets cancelled and go ahead, will there be any problem in settlement of LTC claim. Kindly clarify immediately on rhsarma_5432@yahoo.com as departure dates are approaching fast. For your quick response, I shall be highly grateful to you. (Rajesh Sharma)
