Sub: Revision of Dearness Allowance from 45% to 51% of pay w.e.f 01-01-2011 – Increase of Allowances & Advances by 25% in terms of Government’s decision – Reg.

The Railway Board is aware that in accordance with the decision of the Government, various Allowances & Advances should be increased by 25% as an when the DA increases by 50% of pay.
 


The Government has revised the DA to 51% of pay w.e.f 01-01-2011. As such Allowances & Advances are required to be increased by 25% automatically. Vide annexure to the letter, the NFIR furnishes the Allowances & Advances needed to be increased by 25%. NFIR therefore requests the Railway Board to issue orders to the GMs, etc., to grant revision of Allowances & Advances w.e.f 01-01-2011 and ensure payment of arrears. NFIR also urges that the Transport Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Patient Care Allowance, PCO Allowance, Running Allowance (Kilometerage), Night Duty Allowance, Split Duty Allowance, Cash Handling Allowance, etc., should be hiked by 25% w.e.f 01-01-2011.
