Grant of Dearness allowance to Government Employees

Grant of Dearness allowance to the State Government employees of West Bengal

The West Bengal State Government has decided to issue Dearness allowance to its employees from 1.1.2012. Memorandum has been published by the Finance Department regarding the subject of granting dearness allowance, employees drawing basic pay (i.e.Band Pay, Grade Pay, NPA, if any) upto Rs.80,000 shall draw Dearness allowance @ 45% with effect from January 01, 2012. The calculation of Dearness allowance shall be made taking into account the revised Band Pay, Grade Pay and NPA, if any, but shall not include any other types of pay.

Direct Recruitment of Semi Skilled Workmen at Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF), Avadi.

Written Examination Result Date

HVF sent call letter to more than 36,000 candidates for written examination conducted on 27.11.2011. Approximately 19,000 candidates only attend the written test around 24 exam centers. After the written examination shortlisting is under progress.

Candidates have been called for trade test against vacancies, excess up-to 30% over and the notified vacancies. The purpose of calling excess candidates, over and above the notified vacancies, is primarily to avoid shortfall in the panel and that merely calling a candidate for trade test does not in any way, entitle him or her to seek an appointment in the HVF.
