Pay fixation on grant of non-functional selection grade (NFSG) to UDCs of CSCS and Stenographer Grade ‘D’ of CSSS subsequent to implementation of CCS ( Revised Pay) Rules, 2008.

It has been clarified by Estt.(Pay) Division that “at the time of grant of non functional selection grade to UDCs and Stenographers Grade ‘D’, their pay fixation may be done under the Rule 13 of CCS ( Revised Pay) Rules, 2008 i.e. they should be granted one increment @ 3% of their basic pay and to the figure so arrived at, the difference in grade pay ( Rs. 4200 — Rs. 2400 = Rs. 1800 ) should be added.”

Subject: Pay fixation on grant of non-functional selection grade (NFSG) to UDCs of CSCS and Stenographer Grade ‘D’ of CSSS subsequent
to implementation of CCS ( Revised Pay) Rules, 2008 — reg

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M No.6/6/2011-CS-II(C) dated 22/9/2011 regarding issuance of zone of consideration for placement of eligible Stenographer Grade ‘D’ in Non Functional Selection Grade (NFSG) consequent upon creation of new grade of UDC (NFSG) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’ (NFSG) in CSCS and CSSS respectively vide this Department’s O.M. No. 20/49/2009-CS.II(B) dated 22/6/2011 and to say that the matter relating to pay fixation on grant of NFSG to UDCs and Stenographers Grade ‘D’ of CSCS and CSSS respectively subsequent to implementation of CCS(Revised Pay) Rules, 2008 has been considered in this Division in consultation with Estt. (Pay) Division.

2. It has been clarified by Estt.(Pay) Division vide their Dy. No. 6117/11-Estt.(Pay I) dated 6/1/2012 that at the time of grant of non functional selection grade to UDCs and Stenographers Grade ‘D’, their pay fixation may be done under the Rule 13 of CCS ( Revised Pay) Rules, 2008 i.e. they should be granted one increment @ 3% of their basic pay and to the figure so arrived at, the difference in grade pay ( Rs. 4200 — Rs. 2400 = Rs. 1800 ) should be added.

3. All the Cadre Units of CSCS and CSSS are requested to take further necessary action accordingly.

Please also clarify the pay fixation for those stenos who have granted Grade Pay 2800 after completion of ten years of service under MACP.

The different of Rs. 1800 in the basic pay should be added in grade pay to those stenos who have granted grade pay 2800 under MACP i.e. 2800 + 1800 = 4600.

A new post (NFSG) has been created for UDC and 4200 grade pay has been given to only CSCS UDCs whereas, the UDCs in other central govt. organisations are still getting 2400 grade pay. A poor pay commission (only Rs.400 after completion of 10 years in MACP)hit us very badly. Who will give justice ?

i got promoted to UDC in Oct 98 and fixed grade pay Rs.2400/-, whereas i have been granted MACP wef 2008 and granted grade pay of Rs.2800/-. Please clarify,whether i can get Rs.4200/- as per MOD letter of

I got promotion to the post of UDC w.e.f 01.12.1995 and I have been granted MACP (Last) w.e.f 01.9.2008 and with my fixed at grade pay of Rs.2800/-. Why I had not been fixed at grade pay of Rs.4200/-. Please clarify that it can also be applicable for UDCs of other Organization, who have completed more than 05 years of regular service as UDC. At present I have completed more than 18th years of service on the same post i.e., UDC. Can I apply for the same DoPT vide O.M. No.20/49/2009-CS.II (8), dated 22.6.2011. Kindly request you apply this order for my Department also.

i am working in semi goverment on payscale of 15600-39100 with GP:5400 from 6/4/2011.Now i join new job in national institute of technology which have same pay scale & GP as earlier post.i had applied through proper channel and also submitted NOC to national institute of technology .I have joined duty on 01/10/2013.
Whether pay fixation done in this case? and how it calculate?

Right now, the retirement age for Central Government employees is 60. While news has circulated that the Government has decided to raise the age to 62, no decisions have been made regarding this during the Cabinet Committee meeting that was held on 28.02.2014. There also have been no reports of any discussions on this issue.
