I joined Central Govt. Service on 31st March, 1993 as Junior Translator(ex-cadre post)in the pay scale that time 1400-2600 revised as 5500-9000/- in Vth Pay Commission. After completing 12 years of service in a cadre I got my 1st ACP w.e.f.2005 in the pay scale of 6500-10500/-But after implementation of VIth CPC my office has granted me MACP w.e.f.1.9.2008. I just wanted to know whether it is correct or not. How MACP be granted when one has already got ACP after 12 years of service.
Please comment as early as possible.

dear mr vijay_madaan
as far i understand the financial upgradation given to u under MACP scheme is not in order.u have already got one upgrdation in 2005.the second upgradaion is only due in the year 2015. better save the difference amount as u have to pay it back when ur service book is audited by PAY ACCOUNT OFFICE.
