Subject : Introduction of Automated System of Allotment in respect of type-I category w.e.f. 01 .01.2012.

The undersigned is directed to invite attention to this Directorate’s O.M. of even number dated 22.12.2010 introducing Automated System of Allotment (ASA) in respect of houses of the lower types i.e. Type-II to Type-IV. It has since been decided to introduce Automated System in respect of Type-I category also w.e.f. 01.01.2012 as per following schedule:

The total number of sportspersons recruited on different Zonal Railways on Indian Railways during 2008-09 was 509; during 2009-10 it was 233; during 2010-11 it was 361 in during 2011-12 (till November, 2011) it was 63.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has agreed to fill 10% of the Group ‘B’ posts in Central Paramilitary Forces from among Ex-Servicemen. Disclosing this at the meeting of the Parliamentary Consultative Committee attached to his ministry here today, the Defence Minister Shri AK Antony said efforts are now being made to persuade public sector undertakings and the private sector to tap this invaluable reservoir of talented and disciplined Ex-Servicemen.

The Department of Personnel and Training has clarified through ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ related to UPSC, APAR and Commercial Employment after Retirement.

What are the documents to be sent to the UPSC to obtain its advice on disciplinary cases?

Answer- The instructions prescribing checklist/proforma including documents required to be sent to UPSC to obtain its views on disciplinary cases have been issued vide O.M. No. 39011/12/2009-Estt.(B) dated 10.05.2010. Reference is also to be made O.M.No. 39035/1/2011-Estt.(B) dated 10.5.2011, a copy each of which is also available in this Department's website (http://persmin.nic.in).

Tamil Nadu +2 Exam Time Table  2012

Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu has declared the time table for +2 Public Examinations. As per the time table, the examinations will start on 8th March, 2012 and it continues upto 30th March. Usually the duration of the examination is of three hours for all group students but this time students will be allowed to write fifteen minutes more, the order said.
