OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Sub: Early Closure of Offices in connection with Republic Day Parade and Beating Retreat Ceremony during 2012.

In connection with arrangements for the Republic Day Parade and Beating Retreat Ceremony, 2012, it has been decided that the Government offices located in the buildings indicated in Annexure-I would be closed early at 13:00 hrs. on 25th January, 2012 (Wednesday) and buildings indicated in Annexure-II would be closed early at 12:00 Noon on 29th January, 2012 (Sunday).

A statement indicating the number of pending industrial disputes in the Twenty-two Central Government Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Courts (CGIT-cum-Labour Courts), set up by the Central Government under the provisions of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, is at Annexure-I.

The action taken by the  Central Industrial Relation Machinery on disputes raised by labour unions in the Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT) and the workers at Singereni Collieries is at Annexure-II.

Functioning of CSD

Unit Run Canteens (URCs), commonly known as CSD canteens, are managed from the initially sanctioned funds as grant/loan from the Non Public Funds of the Unit/Organization/Establishment of the Services. URCs can also avail a loan from CSD Head Office, Mumbai on repayment with interest.
As per the laid down policy, 50% of the total profits earned by CSD is being deposited into Consolidated Fund of India. The remaining 50% is distributed to various beneficiaries as determined by the Competent Authority.
