Subject :- Grant of dual (two) family pension from military as well as Civil employment.

Consequent upon issue of GOI,MOD No. 01(05)/2010-D(pen/Pol) dated 17.01.2013 (copy enclosed as Annexure) family of Armed forces officers who got reemployed in Civil Dept/PSUs/ Autonomous bodies/ Local funds of central/state Govt. after getting retired from military service and were in receipt of military pension till death , shall be allowed to draw family pension from military service in addition to the family pension, if any authorized from the reemployed civil Dept. subject to fulfillment of other prescribed conditions as hither to fore.

The below information was submitted by the Minister of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Shri.V.Narayanasamy in Lok Sabha in a written reply to a question about the reservation policy of Central Government on 27th February, 2013.

Reservation in Central Government jobs for SC/ST employees is provided at the rate of 15% and 7.5%, respectively, in all Groups in promotion by non-selection method and upto the lowest rung of Group A in promotion by selection method.

The Minister of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Shri.V.Narayanasamy said that there is no proposal and there is no any recommendations to increase the age of retirement of Central Government employees from 60 to 62 years.
