It is highly appreciable and very genuine if 7th Pay commission recommendations effects from 1-1-2014 because percentage of D.A enhanced to 100% which is very higher D.A compared to earlier pay commission. It will be more helpful for employees those who are retiring from 1-1-2014 to 31-12-2015.In other sectors like bank etc pay commission will be effected in every 8 years. Since cost of life of ordinary man goes up high it will be more desirable to give interim relief merging 100% D.A in basic w.e.f 1-1-2014 Since our beloved Prime Minister Modhi is capable of understand the difficulties of down trodden employees I hope he will effect the pay commission w.e.f.1-1-2014 instead of dragging to 1-1-2016 which is not genuine and reasonable

It is a pity that this GOVT has thrusting a decision on Central Govt Employees which every person has to object.

Such decision to curtailed Earned Leave is not a wise decision

Many issues pending long time: a) increment those who are retiring on 30th June since next increment falls on Every July. Govt should consider this issue.Date of effect should retrospective effect taking into account when it was claimed.
b) Merger of DA long pending issue. Govt should take immediate action.

It is very unfortunate that on the one hand government is pressing hard to work over-time including Saturdays but on the other their legitimate demands/grievances are not being met.
